CRiceS Webinar - Impacts of climate change in polar regions: Linking sensitivities to hazards for improved understanding of climate risk

The polar regions are undergoing rapid change, and the impacts are increasingly being seen in natural systems and experienced by society. Assessing climate hazards/risks and impacts will improve the capability to adapt to and respond to polar and global environmental changes. Scientists try to quantify the risks associated with these changes by assessing both the physical changes, how exposed we are to them, and how vulnerable we are. But are we assessing the correct vulnerabilities? Are our models focusing on the most relevant physical changes?

The webinar will be led by CRiceS researchers Bjørn Samset (CICERO - Center for International Climate Research), Stefan Fronzek (Finnish Environment Institute), and Claire Mosoni (Finnish Environment Institute).

WEBINAR - June 5th 2023 from 14:00 to 15:00
